Technical Artist

Familiar with the latest CG technology, the Technical Artist will optimize/improve graphics systems and provide technical introductions and technical support for artists.

    Work Details

    In regards to the introduction/implementation of new technologies, it will be necessary to provide convincing results to other top level artists; which requires a high level of artistic ability on the part of the Technical Artist themselves.

    ・Evaluation of graphics systems and provision of assets
    ・Improvement/optimization of work flow
    ・Tech introduction and support to artists

    Requirements/
    Experience

    ・Fundamental abilities as an artist, such as drawing skills, etc.
    ・A thorough understanding of the pipelines involved in today's graphics hardware
    ・Deep knowledge of DCC tools such as Maya
    ・The ability to make simple tools in MEL and Python
    ・The ability to research and follow latest tech and design trends
    ・Avid interest for physics, optics, and a level of understanding where it's overview can be explained to someone else.
    ・JLPT N2 equivalent or higher communication skills in Japanese
