Responsible for the development of sound processing programs for the game, and developing the sound dev environment.

    The sound development engineer will be responsible for developing programs involving music and sound effects.

    The sounds of cars in Gran Turismo is an important piece of information required for driving, and it is necessary to reflect the dynamics from the car properly in its implementation. The engineer will develop methods for generating better sound effects to match the vehicle simulation. They will also be involved in the development of programs for rendering audio based on 3D special information, and audio signal processing programs for acoustic effects, and development tools used by the sound designers.

    "Gran Turismo" which began as the "Real Driving Simulator" has sought to simulate the real world starting with cars. Audio is no exception.

    Even with the advanced computing techniques of today, audio expression is still a very complex theme to explore. We are looking for persons having an avid interest for the leading edge technologies and its application to in-game expressions.

    Experience

    ・An understanding of interactive audio
    ・Knowledge regarding 3D Audio (DirectX Audio, OpenAL, etc.)
    ・Knowledge of Audio Signal Processing and DSP programming
    ・Programming skill in C++
    ・Understanding of multithread programming

    ・An understanding of acoustic synthesis
    ・Knowledge regarding typical audio production software, and experience in their use
    ・Experience in sound middleware and tools
    ・C#, Java, script language programming experience

      *The PDS(Product Development Staff) Employee is a standard employee format for game creators with superflex work hours, yearly salary contract, and special incentive bonus.

      Yearly salary, with reviews every year.

      For the year following employment, 1/12 of the yearly salary set at the time of employment is paid every month.
